2019 PROJECTS ANNOUNCED


PROJECT 1 - VICTORIA - $9330

Latrobe Regional Hospital – Sleeper Beds

The purchase of four sleeper beds for the Thomson Unit, provides a bed for parents/guardians when staying overnight to care and support their children during a hospital stay.

PROJECT 2 - TASMANIA - $20,000

North West Hospital - Outdoor Playground

The outdoor courtyard at the Paediatric Ward is unsafe and usable by the children staying in hospital. The need to resurface the courtyard and provide play equipment and furniture that is safe and able to be used by the children and their families to bring some enjoyment to their hospital stay.

PROJECT 3 - VICTORIA - $35,200

Numurkah Hospital – Antenatal Ultrasound Machine and Equipment

Through the purchase of this equipment, Numurkah Hospital will be able to provide antenatal support. This equipment will be able to better support obstetrician/gynecologist clinic to facilitate care for high risk pregnant women. It aids in the early identification and monitoring of the babies health which reduces risk to the baby and mother.

PROJECT 4 - NSW - $16,651

Shoalhaven Hospital – Atom Neo Cot

The Shoalhaven Hospital will be provided with five Atom Neo Cots with Hi/Low stand, equipment drawer and IV pole to provide safe and efficient treatment beds for patients in the paediatric ward.

PROJECT 5 - NSW - $15,350

Milton/Ulladulla Hospital - Paediactric equipment

ilton/Ulladulla Hospital is small but provides essential services to the people in the southern area of the Shoalhaven district. The hospital has a vital need of various equipment to be able to treat paediatric patients who present at the hospital, so they don’t need transferring to a larger hospital. The maternity service running out the Milton Hospital does newborn home visits and requires equipment to ensure correct treatment.

PROJECT 6 - NSW - $38,000

Westmead Kids Rehab – Clinical Station

The purchase of an Xcite FES Clinical Station will be used to treat children with a spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury or cerebral palsy. The station allows stimulation to elicts functional movement allowing a patient’s paralysed or weak muscles to improve the rehabilitation intensity of treatment.
