A Taste of Paradise Organic Farm is a not-for-profit charity mentoring to at-risk and disadvantaged young people, aged between 5 and 20. Young people come to the farm and are paired with a mentor. Those involved come from out-of-home care and have suffered significant trauma or have mental conditions that prevent them from fitting in to school or social situations. They are mentored one-on-one or in small groups, learning social skills, life skills and practical farming skills. We aim to develop each person to their full capacity, encouraging and guiding them towards a more positive future. The building of an outdoor kitchen, will extend the young people’s learning about growing fresh healthy food and learning about cooking it.
